    Good afternoon from East Texas

I stumbled across Shug Emery‬‎ videos on youtube and got the fever.I've camped out off and on while hunting, but always woke up in the morning feeling like death warmed over.I have the basics for camping out but nothing in the hammock or tarp area.So any info would be appreciated. Angelina National Forest has 153,179-acres the forest lies in the Neches River Basin on the shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, a 114,500-acre lake on the Angelina River.Summers in the Angelina National Forest are hot and humid and winters generally are short and mild. Average mid-summer temperatures in the forest range from the mid-80's to the mid-90's, with an average mid-winter temperature a mild 52 degrees. Rarely do temperatures in the forest drop to less than 10 degrees or rise above 110 degrees. The average annual rainfall is 46 inches. So this is my play ground area any and all gear info is appreciated.
My wife and I want to start traveling to different areas to hike and camp out to see new sights maybe you all can guide us in that area as well. Thanks for all your help.

    Cut and Shoot

This is my main campsite, but I go all around south Texas. Mostly car camps now. Hunted and fished around for decades, but not much now.
