Hey I was wondering what is the best way to tie down my rainfly so that when the wind blows it still stays tight?

Do a search on this site for tarp tensioners. There's a couple ways to do it. Take a look and see which sounds best to you.

Believe in the power of the Shug! I still watch his videos to pick up all kinds of info.

Yeah Shug's videos are actually some of the first I came across when researching hammock camping.

Very informational, and they're great for laughs, too! (Especially if you're a Slingblade fan. )

Another vote for Shug's videos. They really helped me out sifting through some of the lingo around here.

Plus, the man likes his cue w/ good ol' vinegar based sauce. Of course, here in Eastern NC that's the only way to go.

One more vote for shug's videos. I found myself not able to go back to work I just wanted to keep watching!

I'll also vote for ^shane^'s method, which is what I currently use.

I hope nobody watches his "fall" video first...may turn some newbies away after seeing that tragic episode

Shug has some great info out there. Another vote here....

I will be testing my DIY tensioners this weekend that I made, see this thread.
