Interesting i've never seen weights listed in this manner, usually they are listed with the maximum strength of the device, not the weight of the person. Ordered 2 pairs.

Okay, it's a little confusing, especially when comparing against specs for climbing biners. Good to know they're just as strong as originally reported, though.

Those biner are a very good and light biner. At 22 grams they are really light for the strength. They are meant for climbing and do that well however hey are overkill for what we are doing. The Dutch Biner weighs less than half the weight however it is not rated for climbing. I have lifted 1700 pounds with a Dutch Biner and all that happened was the part flexed until the spring gate hit the latch. I can lift 1000 pounds and still operate the spring gate. And at 10 grams they are practically weightless.

I will say this about the Dutch biner

I have 14 nights on my set and they are going strong....the spring gate is well made and VERY strong....there is no worry of anything slipping out from under them..
they are a very Solid biner...they are Little Tanks i'v let mine set out in rain and high noon sun just to see how they would hold up and they looks as good as the day i got them
and they make setup and take down so much faster

Get them while there hot !!!
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

    .

Actually, the website as tomsawyer222 gave, http://www.ems.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3717877 show those Black Diamond 'biners weighing 36grams (not the 22grams Dutch stated). I'm thinking Dutch may have been thinking of the Camp Nano 23 that weigh 23grams) http://www.camp.it/EN/template01.aspx?codicemenu=71

Either way, neither can match the "gramweenie" weight of the Dutch Biner!
