A couple things I'd be watching for:
1. As Jsaults said, the ridgeline section between the prusiks would lose tension when you load the hammock. It would then look like a typical hammock ridgeline, only sagging, with no good way to tension it up.
2. The prusiks would have a tendency to slide inwards toward the middle of the ridge. Ideally, your prusiks are made from cord that is smaller diameter than what you're hanging it from. So, you'd need to have STRONG, small cord unless your ridgeline is quite a bit thicker than the lines I read about here most often.
The Klemheist is a prusik variation that holds a load inline with the cord it's attached to. I think you'd want to try that over a standard prusik first.
