I'm planning to come either alone or with the spouse. I doubt we'll bring our three little ground dwellers. I suppose I'll need to figure out my UQ situation first as I'm thinking that may be essential to my enjoyment for the weekend.

I am thinking I have the wife talked into letting me come down for this. Hard to tell, but what kind of temps do you generally have around this time?

I always check the weather before heading to the gorge and this is a detailed view of average high/low each month.

Thanks. Sounds great. Hopefully we get the norms.

How many pairs of underwear do you own? Do you refer to them as "extras", simply because you're not wearing all of them as we speak?

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver

“Our ordinary mind always tries to persuade us that we are nothing but acorns and that our greatest happiness will be to become bigger, fatter, shinier acorns; but that is of interest only to pigs. Our faith gives us knowledge of something better: that we can become oak trees.”

As of right now there is a mandatory fire ban in the Daniel Boone National Forest. You can have a fire in a campground, but the fire must be tended to at all times. There is no fires allowed in the backcountry as of now.
Hopefully this wil be lifted by Thanksgiving weekend. But if we don't get any rain by then it is gonna suck. I was wanting to try to go down to Cave Run Lake next weekend, but this ban threw a wrench in my plans b/c I like to have me a small campfire at night.

Does the Bushbuddy count as a fire?
