    Thanks for the compliments everyone, especially to Barefoot for the kind welcome! Like I said, I'm new to the whole hanging thing but hope to contribute productively to these forums.     Nothing like paddling and hammock camping. Floating sure beats walking in my books.

    Ah...wait, I just saw your blog...I know where that is. Those headwater lakes are my favorite spot!

    Sounds like a great trip. Reminds me of canoeing in ontario in the 60's. My sister had a chestnut. Love that you made your own canoe and the paddles are pieces of art, very satisfying i'm sure. Nothing like making something that you then use in your life.
