Thanks to all for the reassurance. I'll sleep now with no worries about wearing it out too soon. I do have a Traveler, and there is a very good chance that it will be my winter bed, if I can figure a way to fit the hammock stand in my bedroom! I had to sleep in a "real" bed last week, and arose tired and annoyed. Maybe Brandon should have a caution on his website about the WBBB being habit forming!

    hey, don't forget about uv-degredation

prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will continually weaken and degrade any synthetic fabric. if i was leaving a hammock setup outside for days on end, i'd make sure it was in total shade.

I slept in my WBBB 18 out of the last 21 nights....i always take it down in the morning once it has dried......

but yeah...it's hard to go back to a bed after so many nights in a WBBB
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Like any zipper, be gentle with it and it'll last you for quite a long time.
Regarding zipper maintenance. Purchased a McNett product. Have yet to need it for the WBBB, but have used it on couple well worn wetsuits that had "sticky" zippers. Stuff works really well on these coarser zippers.

I picked up this season a Traveller for the just in case situation plus other reasons. Thoughts of a worn out hammock? Sounds like a good reason for a "backup". Keep Brandon busy. Wear out the WBBB. Better to have worn out gear than gear not used.

You must be rich! My HH was $200.00 not including the supershelter. Having 4 kids to clothe and feed, that's a pretty good chunk of change to me. The kids have $30 tents to play with. I would consider those cheap. But I still make them take care of them. I don't want to buy those any time soon either.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. My WBBB with 'biners was just under $200 shipped. That's a lot of money to me.
