where on earth can i find a chinook tarp? i'm looking for the 9.6x12 and i find all kinds of places on the net that sell them but nobody has them in stock. is it a seasonal item? some dude just making these in his garage or what? my googlefu is usually pretty strong but this has me stymied.
I spent a ton of time over the last couple days trying to find one and nobody has them in stock. The estimated backorder date from several websites is the end of October. This website doesn't list them as out of stock, but a day and a half after calling and they haven't gotten back to me. The phone number on the website appears to be the owner's cell phone. I ended up just ordering some silnylon from Noah. Spent a little more but I'll have plenty to make a tarp, pack cover, a bunch of stuff sacks, and whatever else I can think of.
Tell me about it. i tried for a week. Maybe 2 dozen sites. All out of stock below about $40 plus shipping. I finally placed an order with a site that said they had it in stock. 2 days later they sent the dreaded "sorry" email.
I've become obsessed with the quality x price matrix. I'm going to wait.
That's a cheap price for a tarp. I also looked at the Chinook Eva Litemat on that site, about 10 bucks!
