    Just wanted to mention, this past weekend I logged several miles and two nights out in Governor Dodge state park with my daughter and a friend. In the past I have always worn Cool Hiker synthetic socks for hiking and heavy wool for sleeping. This time I took a couple of pairs of light-mid weight merino wool socks to try out. I had picked them up on sale for $4.99 a pair (cosmetic blems).
    They were VERY nice. I'll be stocking up on the mernio wool socks!
