Be sure you're sleeping/hammocking on as much of a diagonal lay as you can. The more parallel you are with the hammock, with rocking force perpendicular to you (i.e. side-to-side sway), the more motion sickness you will have .

Conversely, with a strong diagonal lay, the hammock would rock relatively toward your feet and head (less side to side) and less motion illness.

You may also be experiencing BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). If so, you should see an ENT physician for proper diagnosis and treatment. If it is BPPV, there are some fairly simple head movements (the Epley and Semont Maneuvers) that might address the dizziness.
Beep is so smart he scares me.

I only understood one word of that-Benign.
Benign years since I saw ya last.

My set up is low to the ground that I reach down and stop my swing.

I get motion sick easily and years ago when trying a hammock I would feel it a little in my head.
What I have done since the spring is everyday I hang a little. Whether its an hour here of half an hour there. I find it helps to get my inner ear accustomed to the motion. I still don't like a lot of swaying but small movements don't bother me anymore. Also I hang low enough that if necessary I can reach down to the ground to stop large movements. Good luck.

Personally, I have never been bothered with motion sickness in hammocks, but a body can't be too careful, so I think I'll adopt your remedy as a preventive measure.

I'm a person that actually likes the swinging motion. So my observations are that of my two main hammocks, the Clark and a Hennessy, My Clark will swing with the slightest breeze and my Hennessy, especially when I've got the middle shockcords staked to the ground, is rock solid. Also because I'm laying sideways in the Hennessy, even when not staked, it doesn't move that much.
So, try laying sideways and stakeing out some shockcord lines to the sides. If your hammock wont do that, maybe look into a different hammock. The hennessy and the Blackbirds both have lines stakeing down the sides of the hammock and you sleep side ways.
During the winter I like to drink ginger tea to settle my stomach, I didn't know it was also good for motion sickness.

Dramamine? (or similar motion sickness pill)... would probably also help you sleep, which would lessen your chances of feeling any sway.

Yeah, it can't hurt to have a daily dose of hammock.
