    New Nevada Hanger

Just wanted to thank everyone for the wounderful feed back, which made my first real hang great. Most all my camp mates thought my HH was really cool but everyone was afraid to try it out. Maybe it was the look of my marlin spike hitch.

I used three pads and a zero degree sleeping bag. It was very comfortable.
I think the first night I slept the wrong way. The second night had the zipper on my right side on slept much better. Lots of adjusting to get in sleeping bag.

I was wondering about these hammock quilts? How do you guys sleep with the top and bottom quilts, do you also use a sleeping bag or just the quilts and some layer of clothing. The Sierra Mt. can get cold at night. I have some old sythetic bags i might try and convert. Is that to much bulk or should I just stick with one pad and a good sleepping bag?
    Thanks

Staying warm in a hommock is a universal problem that all who hang face. There are many different solutions. Ranging from pads, under quilts, top quilts, sleeping bags and various combinations those. The best thing I can suggest is to spend some time on the fourms and you will come across mountians of information on the subject.

A TQ and a UQ is the ULTIMATE set-up in a hammock.....
Just tuck n tweak and off to slumber-city.
A sleeping bag used like a quilt works fantastic as well.
