    Wooden Marlin Spikes???

A while ago I remember seeing some really nice wooden marlin spikes, but can't remember where I saw them. They were really nice looking and made out of some nice exotic woods. Anyone know what site I am forgetting about??? I've searched them all and have come up with nothing.

You can also just go to a local hardware store and buy a wooden dowel of an appropriate diameter. Bring it home and cut it up. Easy to drill, too! You could stain it and put a urethane finish on as well if you were so inclined.

Yeah actually I think I'm going to use part of a broken chair that is useless in my basement. Made of some kind of fine/tight grained hardwood. Never even though of that. Reduce Reuse Recycle

While not wood - it is part of the RRR philosophy, they are cool looking, and light weight - I just picked up a box of of carbon fiber arrow shaft scraps from the local hunter's headquarters FREE!!!
