South Alabama Hanger

Hello Everybody,
I'm starrione, I'm from south Alabama and I just wanted to say how excited I am to be a part of this.
I got sold on hammocking after hearing so many ppl talk about what a wonderful nights sleep they had, how easy it was to set up... etc... I have frozen to near death in tents for ages.
So, a friend and I were talking about it, and he pointed me this way. Yes, I confess, I used your videos, (Shug, Stormcrow, MacEntyre, Professor Hammock) to glean a wealth of info, and then started reading and reading here.

Well, it's just obvious... you guys pointed me the right way! So, Thank You, everybody. I have a Warbonnet 1.7 DL now, and some nice stuff from the Jack's... I am ready to get back outside and do a bit of rock hounding and artifact hunting.

I can be found at just about anywhere in Bama... Old St Stephens, in the south, or on Cheaha in the north. I am looking forward to meeting more of you as time goes by. Would love to spend some time up at the Sipsey or Moundville.. Ya'll hollar...

Welcome to HF it is good to hear that you are so enthusiastic about hammock hanging. Swinging in the trees is the only way to go.

Your Sipsey comment got me. I looked at the weather forcast (http://www.weather.com/outlook/healt...y/ALSIPWILD:13) and it looks like it will be getting into the 50s at night there next week. Good weather is on its way.

You should drain that blister.

Well callook66, I sure did tell Chad about the Warbonnet... lol... I guess I need to just run over there and show him. LOL I looked at the ENO's while I was there. But, I NEED built in bug netting!! lol!

And southmark, you are close enough to drive, LOL!

And FiveOh, wirerat123, and bigbamaguy, nice to meet ya'll. Would love to meet ya'll in person!
bigbamaguy, may get up to Cheaha for a suicide hang in Nov or somewhere through there, depends on how broke I am after hurricane season and Linville Gorge... LOL.

And Shug... had to save you for last, after watching your videos, and ktstone's little shrine thing to you and the candles and incense and what not... I feel like I know ya! Had to pick on ole kt a min.. anywho, he is the person that turned me on to your vid's on the Tube... Watching you evolve has helped me evolve faster and figure out what I want.. And tell Ken, if he's too tired, SOMEBODY will feed him!!

I'm gonna friend every one of ya'll! LOL!
