will a beaver attack me in a hammock?

I'm only about a foot off the ground when all in. Noisy, aggressive seeming beaver outside. Not sure what to do but I'm having trouble getting to sleep. All advice appreciated!

YELL REAL LOUD, FOR HIM TO GO AWAY!

If at first it doesn't work, then continue doing it.

Take a picture for starters second beavers are very frightened of people normally so make a noise and it will likely run/waddle/swim back to its den. But get that picture first

    pics

We took pics a couple hours ago and it hissed at us. The animals up here are scarily unafraid.

I guess if its rabid it might attack and there's no way of knowing. I'm awfully close to the ground and it would b a pain to fix that in the dark.

    Great birthday!

    Rabies....hmmmmmmm.....do you have a knife?

    Can you find some rocks?

It sounds like you just might have to stay awake all night telling jokes to each other.

But then again if you have to fix your hanging hieght in the dark, then that is just what you will have to do....so sorry to say that, but it just might be true.

I think its wandered away. This is my third night here, first 2 were fine. Good suggestions... I have a knife, but not sure about the nerve.

Thank you, BC, very considerate. And amusing. :-)

When using a knife on a wild animal you don't worry about the nerve . . .
