    nice tarp Ron. almost 11' long & 8.5' wide & less than 6ozs! wow!!!
    and i noticed under the options a person could order either Symmetrical or Asymmetrical Shape.
    i couldn't get the pictures to enlarge but maybe they are still working on that.
    I too will something make and joy in it's making

    The pics enlarged when I was there. It looks pretty nice. But I wonder, would there be any difference in the quality of pitch- tightness, wind resistance, etc- between am asym tarp and a symmetrical tarp?

    the pictures are enlarging for me too now.
    i wouldn't think there would be any difference in the tightness of the two styles but that's a good question to be checked out in person.

    in times of wind & rain (& especially when it's cold) i've been spoiled by the extra side coverage of a rectangle tarp... but boy, does that weight sound nice!
    i wonder if they will eventually make a rectangle tarp out of that material?

    yes..... you read it right..... is a nice tarp, love the weight, but seems that less costs a LOT more.

    Quality is the key

    All of MLD's gear is among the lightest in the industry and anyone who is familiar with any of Ron's products know that the quality is as good as it gets. In the lightweight backpacking world there is a waiting list to get his products, and the wait is worth it.
