Hello chaps,
Got my SRL whoopie sling in from AHE today but its' a tad long for my hammock so I'd like to shorten it from the fixed loop end. Can anyone tell me what the correct knot would be for this?
Cheers guys

Not quite sure I understand what you're wanting, but here is a post that might help you out:

Also, as noted in that thread, amsteel is "slippery" and adding knots can make it a little weaker.
Good luck!

What I mean is with the adjustable length drawn to the shortest length available the total length of the whoopie (fixed+adjustable) is too long. I'd like to tie a second loop maybe, say, 6" up from the fixed loop end, to allow myself more freedom with the adjustable side, but I don't know what knot would be suitable for this.
In other words at the moment it is adjustable from 90 to 120, I'd like maybe 80 to 110.
Incidently, it's a 1.8mm Dynaglide line, I'd imagine that it handles knots differently to amsteel?
What you could also do is unbury the adjustable part of the whoopie sling and redo the bury closer down to the fixed end. Finding a suitable small wire for a splicing tool will be the challenge with line that small. If the end of the adjustable part has a back splice, either cut if off or undo it so the line can be slid back through the bury.

I'm not sure what 10 inches less of dynaglide will get you. If I understand it correctly you don't have to unbury it. Just cut off 10 inches from the loose end. You will have to do something with that end but that can be a knot, a bury or you could just melt it so it doesn't fray. If you melt it still put a knot so you don't pull it through.
