Are the loose joints in the Pawley stand an issue?

I just bought the Pawley stand at Lowes. I love it that it is so heavy duty. Truely worth the cost. However, the pipe joints have a lot of slop and there is a lot of flex when installing the hammock. My question is, won't flexing from the repeated getting on and off the hammock cause the pipe ends to eventially elongate and wear out?
It seems rediculous the they would make such an incredibly heavy duty and attractive stand and then use pipes that do not fit properly.
Is there a fix for this?

I'd also like to say that this is my first hammock and when I googled "hammock forum" I was shocked to see that there is actually a forum just for hammocks. Thats cool!!

I need to know if there is a better stand for near the same price, before its too late to return this one. It was originally $120 and I got it marked down to $59.
For that price, should I accept the imperfection of loose pipe joints or can I get a better one?
