    Clark NX-250 Under Quilt maybe????

I just got back from my first trip with my clark nx-250 and don't know if I need an under quilt or what... I spent two nights in the hammock with a zero degree mummy bag but both nights my back and bottom of my legs got cold but my chest and top of legs were literaly swetting... So what do I do? I was thinking under quilt but what one is best for clark nx-250? Any and all advice is apprecaited.

    Lowclass:
I have the NX-200 and use a KAQ New River UQ from Arrowhead Equipment. With the KAQ NR TQ I have been able to sleep in the Upper 20's. That included a fleece jacket and light base layer through the night. I will tell you that Paul will work with you and will have the UQ out to you ASAP.

It was about 20 or a bit lower this past weekend at the lake we hiked into, that sounds like a good option, is yours fitted to the 250 and how small does it pack down to, the wieght and fill... goose down?

    LC:
The KAQ's are a synthetic fill quilt. The fill is Climashield XP, I think! They are rated to 30 degrees and weigh around 30oz according to the website. They will pack down, I usually have two in my pack during the "winter" time that we have here in Alabama. I like the KAQ's because they have three loops on each side of the quilt that allow a shock cord line attachment, which keeps the quilt bunching allowing in cold drafts. I hope this helps you out

I just received a Hammock Gear Crows Nest 3/4

three-season UQ. Very nice, and it is almost exactly the perfect size to mate with the NX-250s stake-out loops. But it mounts quite nicely just by running the UQ suspension bungies over the hoop webs and inside of the poles.

Have you not considered the Z-liner? fits in the pockets, can leave them in there when you bag it, easy peasy.

    Yes, I considered a Z-Liner.

In fact, I debated my options until my head hurt. But in the end I wanted a system that would work for both my CJH and my HH. My five recent nights with the UQ were very comfy.
