I am looking to buy a good quality tarp. I would like for it to be around 12' in length and pretty wide as well. Any good recommendations?
Thanks!

What is your spending limit? As this would play a large factor between some manufacturers!
Also what is your intended uses? Car camping only! Backpacking/hiking?
I ask this as weight would play a factor!

If you are looking for light weight, large coverage, and low price, you will find it near impossible to find all 3 in one package!
You can get a OES tarp from here http://www.outdoorequipmentsupplier.com/index.html but they will exceed you price limit, but will fit very well into the light weight and coverage category!
You also have Warbonnet tarps here http://warbonnetoutdoors.com/index.php
they too will exceed the price you mention!
For the price range you are in you could look at an equinox tarp which have gotten very good remarks from other users here!
Your request for a 12 ft tarp I am assuming that you mean a 12ft ridgeline? If so that is a very long ridgeline, is there any reason for wanting/needing this?

Most of the tarps cited above are in the 11 foot ridge length... more than adequate for most hammocks.... Another candidate in that size is the JRB 11x10 Cat Tarp... $120 and they are in stock, no waiting.... http://www.jacksrbetter.com/11%20x%2...Cat%20Tarp.htm

I completely understand that logic( ) !
I want to come to his/your hangs!!!!!!
No I posted that to really find out if he wanted the 12ft ridge as a added insurance to stay dry??? Because you don't need that much to stay dry, and most tarp's being used have a 10-11 ft ridge, with most being closer to 10!
Also the closer you get to 10ft ridge the lower the price of a good/awesome tarp could be had! (in MY opinion)

I use an MEC silnylon tarp, called the scout tarp. Its approx 10x7 feet. Its extremely lightweight, very compact, and was only $65 CAD. The only complaints I have about it are that it did not come with any lines and when rain hits it, it sounds like a tin roof.
But for your budget and other concerns im sure it would be more then addequate
I'm sure an REI or other similar retailer where you live could provide a similar tarp. Or you could always come on up to Ontario and enjoy the great outdoors up here while your at it.
