Cranky Bear, you're right... the longer the tarp ridgeline, the fewer options you have for stringing it in dense woods. In some places I'd be pressed to find trees that were more than 12 feet apart and had space to the sides for staking out the tarp.

    HennessyHammock.com has 2 hex fly's with a 144" ridgeline. They have a 19oz. for $129.95 or a 25oz. for $59.95.

You could also look at the Kelty Noahs Tarp 12. It is about $59.00. I have had the 9 for a few years and I really like mine.

That's pretty loud, was thinking of going to MEC to get a new tarp. Want something that's not going to keep me awake in the rain.

I ended up ordering a warbonnet superfly tarp. very excited to see how it does.

What are the standard lengths that you typically use for guy lines at each of the tie-outs?

What are the standard lengths that you typically use for guy lines at each of the tie-outs?You could alway's look at getting some pre-made tie outs from here: http://whoopieslings.com/, I have the STL's and they are great, top quality product's (I also have the single tarp ridgeline as well) or you could get them from here: http://www.arrowheadequipment.webs.com/ same great product's as well, also the Jack's have STL's as well here: http://www.jacksrbetter.com/Products.htm !
Or lastly you could DIY, mine are about 6ft long, but I also carry some extra cordage to increase them if needed
    Hope this helps?????
