Thumbs up This is an awesome place!

So, I've been lurking around for a while, and I've absolutely loved the sense of community on this forum. I've been a member of so many internet communities (term used very loosely...) and I've never witnessed the genuine human side of community I've seen here on HammockForums.

I would like to thank PapaSmurf, BrianWillan, and MedicineMan, especially, for their personal generosity towards me and to all members of of HF who make this community welcoming to all.

I know it's not much, but I'm skipping my next two weeks "eat out" budget so I can change my ID from blue to green, tonight.

I look forward to meeting many of you all in Linville Gorge in October and hopefully more of you at other group hangs n the future. Thanks again for being such an awesome group!!

    Ethan

Glad you enjoy the community! Thanks for supporting the forum.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

    Awesome? AWESOME??

The Grand Canyon is Awesome! Your first view of the Tetons is Awesome! The sight of the Sun rising and touching the first point in the US (Cadillac Mountain) is Awesome! The sight of the Earth rising over the lunar landscape is awesome!

Hammock Forums is cool. Neat. Groovy. Useful. Possibly even Bad. But Awesome?

A Noble, possibly Quixotic, goal for an Altruist Hanger.

    Sigh, it is probably Quixotic.

Considering that I have been unable to expunge the word from our Human Resources Manager's vocabulary, and she is less than a decade younger than I.
