    Finland, Minnesota
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Finland is an unincorporated community in Lake County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located north of Silver Bay on Minnesota Highway 1.

    Notes
The community of Finland is located 6 miles inland from Lake Superior's North Shore and is a small, unincorporated town settled mainly by Finnish immigrants in 1895.
As of 2010 the population of Finland is 632.
Downtown Finland is very small. It has at least two hotels, a gas station, a small market, a school, a recreation center, a small bank, a Lutheran church, a coffee shop, a general store, and a post office.
Back in the late 1890's to the early 1950's, it was a hot spot for Finnish immigrants. A majority of the population is of Finnish descent. Most of the population is able to speak Finnish and English.

The Population density is 6.3 (per square mile). The nearest large airport is in Duluth, which is about 1 hour 30 minutes from Finland. There is also a much smaller airport in Ely, which is about 30 minutes away.

Appreciate your latest video, and I really understand that setting up the camera to get those camera angles takes work, man. Some I cannot figure out—for instance, when you go downhill sort of moving quickly on that single track through the pines, and the camera is near the ground, I don’t see a hiking pole, but it must be there? It seems as though the camera is far out from you—further than a hiking pole would be. Hmm. Puzzling.

Your solo hikes and campouts are zany and fun as hell. The woods scare me, especially alone.

Hey, I still have my Torker, but just ordered a Kris Holm 24 blue Muni, just like yours but no brakes—no hills in IL. I can appreciate your level of fitness, Shugmeister, on your videos. I am hoping to improve mine but my Torker seat is tearing my “t’aint” to shreads.

T’aint = t’aint the hole, and t’aint the other, but tis sensitive area in between, for all you non Uni folks.

Yep, good to see another Shug video. Ironic that I just received my Mora knives today, and just ordered some of the Hawk Vittles meals for an upcoming trip. And that camera moving away from you was pretty trippy and cool.

Great, as usual Shug. Yeah, I also want to know how you did that one shot where you are chasing after the camera. Was that the cable Hawkeye mentioned? Or did you pack a remote control car in your pack this trip?
