    Hajimemashite (nice to meet you)

    Hello all,

A new hanger here currently residing in Yokohama Japan, but originally from Vancouver Island in Canada.

I've been reading the forums the last few weeks and have got some great info so far, can't wait to glean more out of the seasoned vets around here.

I'm a bicycle touring guy and turned to hammocks on a whim. Seemed like a good idea, and that's all it takes me to try something.
It'll be replacing my tent for tours lasting anywhere from 2 days to 6 months.

So far i've set up my HH Expedition in the park on a couple of occasions, but the first real trip will be next month for a week in Amami Oshima (google it, it's beautiful!)

Hopefully it will keep me up and away from the nearly 100,000+ deadly snakes that live on the island

anyways, look forward to talking and sharing advice and stories with all of you!

    Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

    Thanks guys!
I know what you mean about an overload of info, but i'm getting a lot of valuable tips.

Hopefully the trip works out well, it's hit and miss with typhoons at this time of year. I'll take lots of pictures either way. Lounging on the beach with my bike and hammock in the near background, or huddled under a bridge somewhere trying to dodge flying pieces of roof tops!
