Ok I give up, I've tried searches and looking through threads but can't find the post/thread with a diagram showing the loadings at different hanging angles! I'm sure I've seen one somewhere.
Can anyone give me a pointer to where I might find this information?

You might be thinking of a diagram that Youngblood put together in the ancient past. It's in his file folder on the Yahoo hammockcamping group. A copy of it was posted in a thread here a few months back.

Alan, I feel your frustration at not being able to find what you are looking for. HF is such a large store house of hammock related information. That it can be a daunting task to search for and find exactly what you want. I'm glad folks were able to chime in an help you out.
