    WTB: Ripstop nylon

I'm looking at picking up a little bit of rip stop (maybe a yard or two). I would like to pay around $2/yd. I'm new to the thread injection game and am looking at getting some experience by making a couple of small stuff sacks before I try to make an undercover.

Right now I am not picky on weight.

PM me if you have any to sell.

If nobody turns up with anything, your best bet is to find out which Walmarts in your area still have a fabric section, and call them once a week to see if/when they get some in. You'll find plenty of practice material for about $1.50 a yard.

Otherwise, the 40% off coupons at JoAnne fabrics brings you down to $3.60 a yard.

Lastly, there is an online store (sorry I can't remember the name, I'm sure someone here will chime in after reading this) where you can get real silnylon for about $4 a yard if you buy 10+ yards. They have great customer service, and ship promptly. I got 10 yards of "taupe" which turned out to be a nice olive brown, perfect for a big tarp and leftovers for stuff sacks and snake skins!

I've bought from http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/a...s/show/1434183 and have been very happy with the material. He's a forum member here. It's 2nd's but only visually, there is nothing else wrong with the material. I've made hammacks, tarps, and stuff sacks out of it.

I forgot about that. I'd just go that rout. Great seller!

    Awesome!

I did pick up some inexpensive material at walmart but none of my local stores carry ripstop.
