oh, i see you've already got it. (poncho liner) is it laminated to the shell?

I lived in one for 13 months. They are better than nothing in cool weather but way too light on loft and way too heavy on ounces. A new one weighs almost two pounds. For hot weather they actually make you feel cooler the way they wick away moisture. I lost one to shrapnel, but I was so proud of it I had a hard time replacing it with a better one. You can see through a poncho liner. If you are wearing a poncho for days on end, the liner is a bit of a relief at times in hot weather and a real blessing in cold weather. It got down to nearly 35 degrees many times in the mountains. I think I would keep looking for something better though, IMHO. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
i posted other details on pg. 2 like weight and size.
i was in the garage so there was no wind, i was using a quilt, i was only wearing a marmot windshirt on my back, i had a few layers of polyester long john bottoms on, and i was wearing my down booties with ccf soles. i was also wearing a wool hat, and had a good u shaped pillow. also, down jacket under my knees, legs on 1/4" of ccf.
i checked temp several times through the night, and was constantly in the teens, it is supposed to be really cold again tonight and tomorrow night.
Warbonnet, an UQ that weighs a pound and will take you into the teens, sounds like you're way ahead of the power curve with this thing. You got any plans to share yet? Or is this a work in progress?
yeah, i'm happy with the inital results, older versions of the same thickness were only working to the upper 20's. cannibal will take this one on his thru and put it through a good test i'm sure. a down version could be even lighter, maybe for next winter.
as for the design, i'm basically done with it, although i'm always finding little things to change.
