Ok, so the kids will be out of town with family for the weekend of Oct. 22 so the wife wants me all to herself.

so that leaves me in the same position I started. I will be on GI Oct 14 - 17. I don't have any more vaca days, so I will be out there Thurs night after work and will have to leave for work on Fri and will be back some time that evening (i hope)

I plan on having at least one child with me on Fri - Sun.

The forum has spoken. Due to lack of interest in this hang and the GREAT interest in preserving my GPA, I have to cancel this trip.

Maybe next time. I was gonna try and make this if others were coming. Oh well. back to VB.NET and printing from a *.txt file (aka - awake at 1am pulling my hair out)

Not a problem. The biggest reason for me not going is Visual Basic. I will be missing a deadline for 2 assignments tonight b/c I have been stuck on 1 assignment for 2 weeks. I have had a meeting w/ the instructor and she has extended the deadline till next week. I will be programming all weekend.

It seems that the no go to GI is a fortuitous turn of events.

. . . Bad Memories. . . only took a brief course in VB and I can remember waking up from a dream that I was caught in a never-ending loop !

. . . Gladly took a "C" in that course.

Funny thing...

No it didn't. It had to do with the built-in Readline function being reset to the 1st line of the text file because the text file was being opened and closed in multiple locations in the code.
