Yeah I thought about the whole patent thing when I saw the product name, but hey it's not my battle
I did also wonder about the product picture... the description states that the snake skins only come in camo, but in the picture it's clearly not the usual camo
I didn't buy the snake skins, since they really are snake skins ). The $40 price tag is a bit over what I figure a DIY project would cost and after a recent shopping spree I'm not trying not to spend money on gear for a while (it's hard I tell ya! )

well..I did buy the skins for tom. I too thought they were over priced but I saw someone with the HH snake skins and I said to myself I just have to have them. I will let everyone know how they work out when I get them.
DD Hammocks has a set they sell, also:

They call it their "Sleeve".
Also, Hammock Bliss has their Sun Rain Dirt and Bug Shield:

Same things, different names. Maybe the patent ran out on Hennessy's?

Maybe it's time for the cottage gear makers to jump in the game on skins then...Paul, SC, Brandon, 2Q/ZQ? I'd like some tarp skins made from bug netting. Still waiting for someone to make an untreated 1.1 ripstop nylon hammock weather undershield too.
Whatever happened to TheWild?
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
looks to me like the companies who still sell a skins type product are making one long vs the two short that HH makes. Perhaps this is what has allowed them to get away with their products where others who were making 2 short sleeves got busted for patent infringement.
