1.3oz Zero Porosity Double coated ripstop SilNylon?

Ever heard of such a thing?

It's pricey, it's translucent, it's very waterproof, it allows no air passage, it's very lightweight, it comes in 16 colors.

I thought regular silnylon was 1.3oz after "siliconizing". If that's true then this must be regular silnylon, right? Thanks for the link.

Yes that is Sil, lots of places put a little spin on the name they use, very high prices for what it is worth.

Looking at the description it looks like regular sil to me.

I know some gear manufacturers have started making their own sil to increase the resistance to "misting" and claim it withstands a little greater pressure. They also charge a little more. That may be just marketing.

I see they charge for putting it on a roll???
And they had glow in the dark fabric!! But yikes on the price.
The silver/gold metallic fabric was pretty cool looking too...make me a spacesuit.

I was figuring is anyone with bigger income than me has the desire for some interesting colors and options that that spot might come in handy.

$11 per yard is too much for me.

I could see the aluminized ripstop nylon making a great UQ for extreme cold weather.

Plus I've never noticed any of my silnylon equipment being that translucent.
