I've got my eye on this pack to use as a day pack while canoeing. Is it waterproof...or rather water resistant? Just wondering if it will shed rain?

The fabric is Sil, The same we use in tarps, though I do not seam seal it (though you could) and the top drawcord is done just like any other stuff sack---we could add a small flap I suppose to give a cover to the inside of the packs mouth. Would be any easy thing to make it more water resistant.

It just seems so light and simple...I think it would be an awesome day pack to have while canoeing
