Got the standard config (right side) because it seemed the most natural for my normal position. It's my first hammock and I can learn (sorta). BTW read a post recently where it was stated that the poster had never seen a camping hammock in person and realized it is just that rare here too. My first eyes and hands on will be when it arrives at the home.

As I discovered, many know about hammocks, the rope kind, some know about the string kind, but almost no one knows about camping hammocks, at least in the normal, general population. Once you are among serious hikers and solo pack canoe types then you start finding those that have upgraded into camping hammocks. For those that bushwack it's really the only way !

Agreed in total. I try to camp far away from where flatlanders normally gather (read; your average campground) when exploring on the bikes. Find that the critters behave like they are supposed to instead of like Yogi and the overall stay is always more peaceful. Also really like the LNT of hanging (yes motorcycle types can be concerned for the environment too) coupled with the posibility of being more stealth. Plus it's kind of fun to be a trend setter and believe me you the moto camping folk I ride with are going to be very amazed the first time we set up camp (Oct 15th I hope).

Just a smidge (tends to be a bit too rough for my taste). Mostly on Pashnit.com (more like HF).
