    Raul,

I'm glad I found your excellent video as I have been contemplating the addition of a cuben hammock tarp to my gear closet.

I know that a catenary cut on the ridge line is an option; does yours have the catenary cut? Also, do the edges have a catenary cut or are they straight?

If your ridge line or edges do not have the catenary cut, do you think the pitch would be tighter with the cuts, or does cuben have so little stretch that it doesn't matter?

i ordered a 8.8 by 11 last nite. i put 5 loops on 11 ft side so i can close wings in bad weather. i think it will be a great tarp.

thanks for video. helps support my decision

    Tarp looks fantastic!!!!
    One question though---
Is the ridgeline sewn? If so how is he doing it and it holding up? I ask as the discussion that has taken place here not that long ago was that you couldn't sew it as it would tear/rip very, very easily, that it had to be taped!!!
Sorry I guess that was a couple questions, LOL!!!

    MAD777,

Appears to be a regular Hex tarp with no cat cut. Surprisingly it pitches tighter than my sil or spinn tarps on the first set up!

    Cranky Bear,

Tarp is sewn but reinforced with tape. I literally just put it up as I got it Friday so you just saw the maiden voyage. I am concerned about the seam after I bought it I realized it was sewn and heard taping is the preferred method. My only thought that calms me at night is that Joe over at Zpacks uses his own gear and that it must be working out ok for him to sew it and use a seam sealer.

    Only time will tell though.

trip report wont occur until mid/late november.

My audit season will be a bit extended this year due to 3 clients being a pain in the booty.
