    Burrow Bother

I asked an old co-worker of mine who worked in our sales department why he always promised the world and made us scramble to meet unrealistic deadlines. He said it was "easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission".

So I went ahead and ordered a 3-Season Burrow (to match my 3-Season Crowsnest) to take on a 5-Day trip to the Smoky Mountains next month.

    Haven't told the wife yet.

At least I'll have a cozy place to sleep until she lets me back in the house!

    Congrats on the Burrow!!
If it really came down (no pun intended)to it, the Burrow and Crowsnest will keep you warmer than your wife will, and they'll never complain about you drinking beer or staying out all the time

    Goodness gracious....lol

The title of this thread certainly got MY attention.

I hate to think that I would be the cause of such strife in one's relationship. I am not sure if it is any consolation, but one thing that has sometimes helped the situation is that many a significant other has "confiscated" their man's light weight, downy goodness once they find how comfy it is to lounge around the house with. True, you lose your quilt, but you can sometimes wrestle it back long enough to take it on a trip or two. Heck, sometimes they even get the go-ahead to make another order for "your own" quilt.

Regardless......I, for one, appreciate the order!

Forgot to add that the Burrow and Crowsnet will be one time expense, while your wife will keep costing you money

And speaking from my own experience, it's certainly easier begging for forgiveness, than asking for permission

If I order something I don't want my wife to know about, I have it sent to my mistress's address.

Sorry Stormcrow, didn't mean to give you a heart attack!

Ain't that the truth. Good thing she's cute and smells nice!

Hmmmmm.... I was going to buy her a Slanket so she'd leave my Burrow alone. But you might be onto something!

    Yep,
I agree about letting her use the Burrow and Crowsnest around the house.

My Ptarmigan Crowsnest doesn't get as much business as my Burrow does, because it is ReelTree camo, but my Burrow is black, softer to the touch, and is larger.

So I am one of those guys that has to ask if I can use my stuff to go camping with. I don't mind it so much I guess, but I am concerned about the sweet smell spooking the critters. And since she has a whole lot of Scottish blood in her (maiden name was Campbell) I don't believe she will be going for a second set real soon, since she already has one to use.

Oh, just what is a halfling to do sometimes?

I just ordered an Incubator with some extra filling, but I bet that I'm not going to get to use it at all this season.

My wife hates it when I buy any kind of substantial gear but she loves to go on trips. She's always juuuuust cold enough that she requires the use of the better stuff that we travel with and I'm stuck with last year's
