All good choices. When I was in your position I went with the most popular choice which I figured was the WBBB. For me when you have dozens and dozens of good reviews it is worth a try.
I have not regretted it at all and most of the new owners are always happy with it. There are some that are still having difficulty but I am not sure it is brand related.
    Good luck on your choice.

for a full on hammock with bug protection, the wbbb is unmatched IMHO.
footbox & shelf are works of hammock art. A near entire forum cannot be wrong.
well wishes on your tough choice.

for a simple gathered end, go DIY.

Out of the four you mentioned, I've only slept in two. Ive never tried a bridge. Some guys love them, but they appear too casket like for me. And it looks like you cant see out of them too well. Who knows though, I might love it if I tried it. Never tried a Clark either. There's been quite a few people who complain that a asym lay is tough in them. They also seem to be pretty proud of them price wise too. This leaves the Hennessy & Warbonnet. The Hennessy is:

With that said, I have three Warbonnets. Two Blackbirds & one Traveler. Their not for sale

Your assumption is that one's TIME has no VALUE. Were one to miss the opportunity to earn income during the time required to make said DIY project, the cost could shift considerably in the other direction. Now if that same person were unemployed or did not earn as much on an hourly basis, DIY becomes the more efficient expenditure of time.

An example is that it is cheaper for me to pay someone to install a new roof than for me to take three days off from work to do it myself.

    Everyone's situation is unique.

I know what you mean. I can do a lot of stuff myself but when it comes to injecting thread into something, well lets just say I would much rather spend the money.

After doing much of the research you have, I picked the WBBB. Although I have only had it for two days, I love it. As a matter of fact, I have it setup in my back yard and I am posting on HF while laying in it. Gotta love wireless!

    Jimmy,

I've owned a hennessey hammock but moved on to the black bird due to various reasons.

I compared both hammocks side by side in a quick video series. Here's part 1 to get you started:

Raul, thanks for the link. I'll take a look. Hope it's not too depressing, since I ordered the HHDJ a few days ago...
I do plan on eventually getting a WBBB, but could not pass up the great deal on the Hennessey - $169 with double bottom, pad, and tarp. With the blackbird, I'd have to get a tarp as well... Best to go with a good deal having never tried a hammock yet. And spend more later.

    BMBH Hammocks?

I'm new to this also--haven't heard of that one. Can you give full name so I can look it up?

Also....what part of Sweden are you from? My grandma moved here from there a loooong time ago. She died before I was born so not sure where she grew up there...

Well, having watched your video, It appears most of the issues with HH were centered around the bottom entry and fastened netting. I hope I'm not one of the people that are affected by the foot/leg cramping issue - it seems to be dependent on the person, since some experience it and some don't. Hope it arrives soon so I can find out....
