There is the "Best Offer" option there! You could try $100 and see what happens.
I too am curious, but not curious enough to drop $100+. I'd rather buy something I KNOW I want, like a Bush Buddy or some merino wool stuff, or a Marmot Precip pants, or...
you get the idea. The list is long!

This is really interesting, but seems heavy to me. If it's really 4lbs, I'd think you could carry get a good comfortable hammock, tarp with more coverage, and an extra groundcloth for less weight. It looks like it uses poles - I wonder how much that contributes to the weight?
Still, interesting... maybe a concept that could be implemented and/or improved on by one of our enterprising DIYers or cottage industry folks
But, still- Wonder full find, sir_n0thing!

Wouldn't surprise me in the least!
Thanks! hehe
Did you see the eBay auction includes "your choice of a free gift: self-inflating pad, sleeping bag or sport duffel bag" plus a free camping tips book... wonder what kind of sleeping bag comes FREE with a $130 item?

I bought one of these for my son several years back for $70.00 on ebay.
He now has a nano 7 that he uses for backpacking. However he loves the versatility of his Rockhopper and still uses it both in the air and on the ground whenever weight is not as important. This purchase actually was responsible for beginning my hammock obsession.

You bought your son a Dora sleeping bag for $70?! Wow. I bet you were in the "cool" parent category for a long time.
Heh heh. I'm kidding. It was just the timing of the posts. Couldn't help myself.
This is an interesting find. The ever-evolving quest to bridge tent and hammock camping.
