Ok... Any websites for the ones you prefer? Also will this type be happy with the same distance and setup I have for the traveler?
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

I was originally hanging in a DIY Traveler from floor joists and the spacing was about 22' (perfect for an 8' ceiling height and most camping hammocks). Using the same attachments for the Brazilian resulted in too little sag and an uncomfortable night's sleep.

I sleep in a hammock full time. I use a cotton Brazilian style hammock. Mayan style are very nice as well. I have one similar to this: http://www.seasidehammocks.com/NATURALE-p183.html

I bought mine at seasidehammocks, but they don't seem to carry that model anymore.

Ahh, the bane of the home hammock industry.

All these shops tend to cycle their hammocks. I assume it's based on what is being produced at any given time, but it is very frustrating. The good news is, they are generally fairly short cycles. Probably be back in stock in a couple of months.

I have one of those nice all-wood (teak), curved hammock stands for my indoor hammock. It's lovely and I can move it about the house, if I want... although it is kinda heavy. It's 13' long, so sometimes it's difficult to find a room big enough to house it. Right now, it's parked in my family room in front of the wide screen TV and beside the fireplace and next to a large window, which I often open up even if it's raining.

    Looks like this: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j0...nd-ODF201-.jpg

I sleep in my camping hammocks at home because I sleep outside. My wife snores something awful.

I used to work for an old shellback skipper on a tug boat. His response to something like that would be, "Boy, I heard your story, and I believe your tale."

If you ever accused him of snoring, he would say, "Couldn't have been me, I heard it too!"

Get something big. I recommend natural fiber fabric (it'll get better over time, unlike nylon which tends to get worse). If you get a Mayan hammock, spend money. Get something with lots of really thin strings (to avoid salmon-grill skin imprints). Keep that in mind, and enjoy! I've never slept so well on a mattress, and you'll probably experience the same.

not to hijack, but has anyone made one of these? Would an old sheet work? It appears a little heavier, like a light canvas.
