Indoor full time hammock

Howdy all.. Just curious, for those of you that sleep full time in a hammock at your house, what is your preference? I am going on 3 months in my traveler,
and really have no complaints at all

But in the future I could see myself changing if I had good reason.. Please give me your favorites and please tell why... Thank you all in advance..

Just your basic diy gathered end, as wide as I can make it. I recently found some 65" wide material and whittled up a nice single layer from that. Roomy. I have around 40 nights in it. Love it.

To get even more comfortable and put less strain on the attachment points I recently switched to a Brazilian hammock for indoors. Because they are hung at about a 45 degree angle the suspension strain is lower than with the typical 30 degree camping hammock. Also their steep hang angle and long length lets you mount them to the ceiling joists at a spread of 15' or less. This puts my mind more at ease than using the 2x4 studs in the wall. I use pad eyes for the anchor points and screw them in with SPAX screws (#14x2-1/2")

We also sleep mostly in Brazilians at home. I like them better than my camping hammocks for a couple of reasons. Mainly, they are much larger which translates into even greater comfort. The other primary reason is the material. With the heavy cotton weave instead of the thin nylon, I don't need insulation below me as often. I still put UQs on them when it gets brisk outside, but the fan blowing in the room doesn't bother me in the slightest the rest of the year.

Am I correct in thinking a Brazilian style hammock has the many suspension lines rather than a gathered end? Is that was defines a Brazilian?

In part, yes. Material and 'style' also come into play.

Mayan and Nicaraguan's also have many suspension lines. The main difference is in the weave of the hammock. The Brazilians have a more solid weave. The others have a more open weave so they flex and stretch more and are also cooler.
