I have thread piling up on the bobbin side of the machine. Checked the way I have the bobbin threaded and everything is correct. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure everything is clean and lubed. Check bobbin tension and thread tension up top. Other than that, may be a timing issue....bout all I got.

In all probability it is not a bobbin problem. I recommend not messing with the bobbin tension except for very specific issues and this is not one of them. Read the bobbin tension post in my sig for more.
If stitches were missing, this would point to timing. But then the thread would not be piling up underneath. This is a top thread issue or something more sinister inside.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I am not suggesting any misleading anywhere. The OP was doing preliminary troubleshooting. Always start with the most likely fix and then move on. If the routine things don't resolve the problem then I recommend taking it to a mechanic. But first do the simplest thing which is to "rebbot" the machine if you will. Un-thread the entire machine, do a quick surface clean and re-thread. Frequently that will solve the problem. If not then you need to look deeper.

The first thing many sewing machine repairmen do as soon as you walk out the door is:
Change needle and rethread. - Its usually fixed.
They then will lube the machine and wipe it down.
They will check the timing by eye (sometimes a gauge). It's working, so the timing is usually correct.
The last thing is fill out the invoice for $80
I was having the same problem. Flipped the bobbin over and that fixed it.
You need to adjust the spool thread tension. Make sure the top is threaded correctly and then set the tension for the top some where about the middle of the range. That should help some. From there you can fine tune the top thread tension to get a proper stitch. If this does not help then there is something else going on. Come back with an other explanation and preferably some pics of the problem we'll see what we can do.

When I had this problem with my fiance's plastic machine, it was either that I had missed a step in threading the spool down to the needle, or the area under the bobbin plate had some fuzzies or something in there buggering things up.
