I'm not the most experienced hanger but my GT UL seems to work better with a tighter hang. I'm 5'11", around 193 lbs. (but dropping ).

i prefer my gt single and sb-pro with very little to no sag at all, i have always been able to get comfortable that being said what works for me may not for you, just try out all the options till you find what works
I'm glad I found this thread.. I should have a GT UL in the mail within a day or so.
Seeing the better feedback is not giving it a lot of sag I'll try that first

I've been using my UL for the last few trips and love it!

I'm new to hammocks and 6'3" 230. My GT Ul is pretty comfy to me. It's a tight lay, but is great for napping. I haven't been on an overnighter yet, but have slept comfortably in the back yard. I still plan on getting a WBBB soon. I just couldn't pass up a $17 hammock for now.
I've found that my SB is a pretty snug hang, but a mattress helps to spread it a bit (either a CCF or a self inflated) Diagonal lay is a bit strange in it too. I've been thinking about getting an ENO DN as I can use the bigger "margin" of max weight limit too (I'm 5'10" @ 230lbs...built like a fire plug)
I put my Big Agnes in my hammock, and it helped spread it out--much more comfy!
I just finished my first hang in my Grand Trunk UL. Worked pretty well. Replaced hooks for biners and used straps.
Thinking of adding a ridgeline. Where to you tie off the ridgeline? Would it be to the biners I'm now using? Tempted to buy a whoopie sling ridgeline but honestly am probably just going to get some more paracord and tie a bowline and a tauntline hitch.
I own the camo GTUL, I enjoy this hammock alot. I like this hammock but, the material is kind of slippery when used with a nylon sleep system. I think this is really the only complaint I have with it.
I'm suprised this thread is still going. Since the GT I've accumulated and tried a lot of hammocks but I still use the GT everyday for backyard lounging. I now find it comfortable since I started hanging it very tight and changed to whoopies. I've still yet to sleep in it and find it hard to stay comfy for long periods at a time but I think I could manage it.
I'm actually thinking of getting another one to leave in my car for emergency hammock use.
