    BMB design question

Is the 2nd layer, the pad pocket necessary for structural reasons?

If not, Pan would the JRB ever consider offering a "minimalist" version of the BMB. No bug netting, no pad pocket?

Minimalist versions are easy enough for individuals to create with a seam ripper to remove omnitape... The pad pocket can be cut away if one desires...If one , however, is over 200 pounds it may be less than wise...
2011 may see a single bottom version but I'm sure that it will still have bug netting...

FWIW, those awaiting the BMBH to return to stock it will be a redesign that has an attached bug net with zippered entrance... Coming soon....
