I bought 2 sleeping bag hangers from a store that was going out of business, and the bags hang in my closet. All else is in a 10 x 10 corner of my basement. I hang my packs from nails in the floor joists. The sleeping pads are sideways, upright, behind the packs, on a shelf. All else is on shelving. I have a 2 ft x 8 ft table for working on things, and enough floor space to set up a tent ( the horrors!) to dry out. I am working on finding a nice way to hang the hammock up some place down there. So far, I am not seeing it. Plenty of places to just hang it up to dry out, but not to sleep in, experiment with. The wooded area across the street will have to do for that.

Quilts, sleeping bags, winter clothing, hunting gear go on coat hangers hung off a long pipe that spans the length of the basement ceiling in the laundry room. Other gear goes in large rubber made storage containers stacked in a corner of the garage.

All my bird survey/outdoor gear is in a couple bins and surrounding overflow pile in a corner of the living room, except quilt and sleeping bag are somewhere on the couch or bed or top of the shirt rack. I should get some serious shelving already...

My gear is stored in two medium sized plastic bins with lids. My hammock is in snakeskins and stored in a plastic bucket as is my OES tarp. I could do better but I have to share space with the wife's crafting stuff and the cat litter box. Yowza!
