    First Hang

First time hang tonight, wife and I car camping at FDR State Park in GA and the first 2 nights were in the tent, trying to be sociable. Tonight going to the trees. Low is 51, going to use my Big Agnes Insulated Air core and one of grandmaws quilts, remember....we are car camping. If I get cold, I can go back to the tent. Clear night, so no tarp. Wish me luck!!

You should be fine with that setup at those temps.

After two nights on the ground a little cold weather would never chase me out of the hammock.

Slept just fine, gotta figure out exactly how to place my legs, but nothing bad. Slept nice and warm, actually got a little too warm. No more ground camping if I can help it, I like the hammock for sure!

I have been wanting to go to FDR and hang. Working too much right now. Did the park staff give you any trouble over the hammock? I have been wondering this because when I called one recreation area closer to Columbus they were pretty rude when I told them I wanted to camp in a hammock.
If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable.
