    My SBPro came in today!!

I got my first hammock today and can't wait to hang!! I tried it on the back porch, but the columns are a little too close. The trees in the yard are too far apart, so taking it this weekend camping, with my tent as backup, and will test it there. Should the stock suspension be OK for a test hang? It is lite rope and not webbing. I won't sleep all night, just try it out.

Should be ok as long as the trees are close enough. I swapped out ASAP because the stock cordage just isn't long enough.

You could always buy some cargo tie down straps from your local Wally World as a speedy solution until you can order some proper straps.

I have the SB Pro also. I swapped out my suspension within hours of its arrival. I think it should be fine. Those biners are pretty hefty. I had tree spacing issues as well as large trees for my first trial and had to add some suspension/extenders to make it work. I have since upgraded my suspension to cover that possibility.

I upgraded to webbing (made from Harbor Freight tiedown straps) and whoopies which I made myself, and I added a ridgeline. My entire suspension system cost me about $12. It works great, and I was able to drop those monster carabiners. Felt like I took 1/2 the weight off my hammock removing those.

The light rope which comes with the SB Pro is fine and plenty strong. It is light but a pretty big diameter. I saved mine, but probably won't use it for suspension.
