Best price...Worst service

So i orderd some Amsteel from Redden on sunday useing amazon payments, and the order got delayed (my fault)

. Well i fixed the error on wed, never recived the trackind number, so i called Redden yesterday and was told that my order would be shipped then.Again i never recived the tracking number.

So today I e-mailed them and was told that they still haven't shipped my order. At this point I am verry displeased with the co.

Now i wish i had used one of the HF vendors. Live and learn I guess.

Maybe i'll get it some day SOON i hope!!!

I had a great experience with Redden, ordered lash-it & amsteel, had it in a couple of days at a great price. A better price than I got from West Marine shipped to their store, and got it much faster. I went to the redden site directly and entered the HF discount code, simple great service. I paid with a CC, maybe that's the difference.

Sorry your order got messed up. I'm sure it happens with all of us at one time or another. My experience with Redden has been wonderful, so far.

You paid through a 3rd party (Amazon). Redden will have received a drop ship order from them and will ship that order once payment is received.

When you use a 3rd party system, the company shipping the product (in this case Redden) does not have any order under your name. They have an order from Amazon. So when you call asking where your order is, 90% of the time they have no clue who you are.

The longer Amazon sits on the order before sending the drop ship notice the more money they make. It may not seem like a lot for one moderate order, but you take 100 of those and you can be talking some nice chunks of change.

In the interest of full disclosure... I don't like Amazon's policies and business practices. You might say that makes me biased. I won't argue with you.

they seemed to know who i was and what i orderd. found my info rightaway

I have ordered from them a few times with amazon checkout and have never had a problem. It's probably a fluke. Redden marine is a pretty good company.
