    Looking For Material And Insulation

Got a new project I am asking my wife to do AGAIN.\
She built me a Ray Way quilt for Chirstmas a few years ago. It was a 20* range quilt. It is much to hot for a good portion of the time.
She is willing to build me a new one with a single layer of insulation.
What material would you recomend for the outer layers and what insulation (synthetic) for the insulation. I also need a good source for all of the items listed.

I've made a nice sandwich - Primaloft between 2 layers of IX that held me to -5*

I'm into down now because neither is compressible

Perhaps I am stating the obvious here, but is there some reason you wouldn't just order another quilt kit from Ray Way again? Just use 1 layer of what ever insulation you choose with the kit.

For what it's worth, I made my Top Quilt and under quilt with from the materials that Ray Way sells. It turned out pretty good.

    Cheers

    Hoping for a cheaper alternative.

I would use the patern they gave but thinking material could be cheapear outside a kit.

He does sell his quilt materials by the foot for both the fabric and the insulation. This is the route I took. If you have to order from multiple places, any savings will be eaten up by shipping charges.

    Good luck with your project.
