Anybody happen to know the dimensions and/or shape of the inner shell of the speer pea pod? Any info would be great. Thanks.

i believe you'll find the dimensions on the speer site
http://www.speerhammocks.com/
but it does taper to small on the ends where it closes around the hammock ends.
i really like mine. i think it gives a wide range of temp usability.
the one modification i made & would recommend is adding a grosgrain loop at each of the four corners & use those for attaching it to the hammock instead of the draw cord. that way the draw cord is free to loosen & "open the windows" (as the jacks would say) when it's warmer.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Well, the one I have designed is going to be pretty different. I was just looking for the inner shell dimensions as a basis for making my beginning fabric cuts, as I have never seen a PeaPod in real life to see what the actual shape of the fabric is. Sorry, if I was unclear.
a couple things i would keep in mind is making the inner liner big enough to not constrict you when it's closed up. you can check this by laying in your hammock & wrapping a measuring tape around you & the hammock to see the circumference laying on your side, back, etc.
also. i would make the outer shell several inches wider to reduce the chance of compressing the insulation. ...tim

I guess what I'm really looking for is the shape of the inner shell. Once I get the inner shell made I can make all other cuts based off it. Is Risk's hammock sock the same shape as the PeaPod?
No. If you lay a PeaPod on the floor, it's a flat piece of material, shaped like a football with the points cut off. The drawstrings on the ends shape it to the hammock.

BTW, it is 9'5"x6 feet and 45" on the ends. Measured on the inner shell. It appears to be about the same size on the outer shell, no dif cut to speak of. I've always thought a differentially cut pod would be a neat piece of gear.
