Go to Detourgearzone.com and check out his extreme sales. He handles GoLite and has several on clearance.

Check out http://www.antigravitygear.com/eleme...lite-pack.html. These guys were at Trail Days & I got to look at this pack up close. Matthew (Elemental Horizons) went over it with me and I was very impressed, with him & the pack.

    Cheers, Dale

Not sure what size pack you need but there were a couple in the for sale thread!
The most recent one is a GoLite Jam in medium!!

I tried on the GoLite Jam and the Gregory Z55 side by side in the store a couple weeks ago. Loaded them both with 20# and it was no contest. Even though the Gregory is heavier it was waaaaay more comfortable and made the load feel light. I really dig the the big bucket pocket too.

(BTW, I got it from gearx.com on sale and with free shipping.)

If your used to a framed pack, you might want to check the MollyMacPack. You could secure your ALICE ruck to it and/or strap stuff sacks on as well.
I do not know how much climbing you do while hiking, but the rope might be a good candidate for weight loss as well. I also dropped a decent chunk of weight moving from a heavy framed 44 to a compact 10mm.

If you want to try something different, I just picked up a MOLLE II pack. With the ruck sack and sleep system carrier it is WAY heavy (8.5lbs). Using the frame, hipbelt and shoulderstraps will let you lash or strap stuff sacks on and it carries AWESOME at 2.25 lbs (and the whole thing cost under 60 bucks).

I have, and like, the Virga, by Granite Gear.

    http://www.granitegear.com/products/...ght/virga.html

It lists around $100, but you can find them a bit cheaper, and it is a sweet/light bag...
