    TarpSock?

As the title implies, I have been wondering about a way to rid myself of a bug net, and perhaps lighten the load (tarp-wise). I have seen things like hammock socks to protect from the wind/etc, but I haven't seen anything like this made to function as a tarp, and keep the rain out.

I'm thinking fully enclosed, in an effort to make it it's own little cocoon?

    What do you guys think?

I think you wouldn't have any room to get out of the hammock and move around or cook in bad weather. I also think it would hold in condensation and body heat, so it would probably be a pretty hot, wet place. But that's just me.

I agree with 'hooch. Sounds like a good idea, but noodling it out says probably not. Same weight for less functionality I'm thinking.

On the other hand, prove us wrong. Won't hurt my feelings. I love seeing new stuff come about.
