    strapping question

Just a quick question for those who buy polypropylene strapping from Strapworks. Do most people buy the lightweight or the heavyweight? It will be used to make tree straps for a hammock. Both can handle the load.

    Thanks

if both can handle the load, than why would you not get the lighter weight ones?? strapworks is a well-known company that has good prestige for quality stuff, i dont think you have anything to worry about with either choice

I'm no lightweight so I tend to err on the side of safety. If I remember right the lightweight is rated at ~750# (give or take). At 250 that only gives me a 3X ratio of safety. Given the forces at work on the suspension by dynamic stress and the inconsistencies of suspension angle I have opted for the heavy weight. HYOH. YMMV
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
