A heated hammock from this material?

can a battery operated heated hammock be far behind?

You could just take the heating elements out of the jackets and sew them into the hammock at the needed places.. Large back goes to torso, front pockets goes at head and feet.

if you can switch the batttery in and out, you could carry an extra set for a longer warm time or a second night

:::: Shivering Dino sits up and takes notice ::::
It would be wonderful if this technology became available as a single layer that could be added to any DYI project.

the potential of bamboo fiber in clothing is really starting to be recognized, what you see there is the use of it's carbonized fibers resistance... you could follow benjamin franklin's example and up the power to it and use it as a lightbulb filament

that's pretty interesting, didn't know it was conductive.

i saw a website somewhere where a company was making high end road racing bicycle frames out of bamboo.

WBG- if the bike frame was plain bamboo then it won't conduct so well, but once they go through the process of carbonizing the fibers(really just like making carbon fiber) it will conduct much better but it still has enough resistance to make it heat up when the cross section is on the scale of fibers
